Sometimes a great movie trailer can mean a box office smash, as evidenced by the Iron Man movie. However, a great movie trailer does not always translate into a huge commercial success, as evidenced by the Watchmen movie. While there is no telling how successful the Where The Wild Things Are movie will actually be, the Where The Wild Things Are trailer has to rank among the greatest movie trailers of all time. The Where The Wild Things Are movie is based on a set of action figures released by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane in 2000. Just kidding, both the action figures and the movie are based on a 1963 award-winning children's book by Maurice Sendack. Let's just hope McFarlane releases some new action figures to go along with the movie. The Where The Wild Things Are movie is directed by Spike Jonze, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dave Eggers. The two minute long trailer features the music of Arcade Fire, and a variety of characters from the book are shown. While there is little dialogue in the trailer, the words, "Inside all of us is hope, inside all of us is fear, inside all of us is adventure, and inside all of us is a wild thing," flash across the screen.
