The five Golden Ticket winners and one of the Oompa Loompas from 1971's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory reunited for a special interview on NBC's Today show and reminisced about the classic musical.

It's been 44 years since the film was released and it is still amazing to see the children that starred alongside Gene Wilder all grown-up. Today brought together Peter Ostrum, who played the honest and thoughtful Charlie Bucket; Julie Dawn Cole, who played spoiled brat Veruca Salt; Denise Nickerson, the gum-chewing Violet Beauregarde; Paris Themmen, the television-addicted Mike Teevee; Michael Bollner, the gluttonous Augustus Gloop and Rusty Goffe, one of the orange-skinned Oompa Loompas.

During the interview the cast shared some interesting tidbits, like the chocolate river was simply water and Nickerson ended up with a whopping 13 cavities from all that gum chewing.

Check it out in the video below.

The mysterious candy maker extraordinaire Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) hides a Golden Ticket inside five of his famous candy bars. The kids who find them are invited on a grand tour of the wondrous, wacky Wonka factory, and a chance for an even grander prize -- if they can resist temptation. The delightful musical score includes the hit song "The Candyman." From Roald Dahl's classic novel, produced by David Wolper ("Roots," "The Thorn Birds") and nominated for an Academy Award.
