X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Top Five Moments
With the first full trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse arrived, there's plenty for which to be excited. [...]
Cyclops Unleashed

Cyclops is a stiff. Cyclops is a square. Cyclops is whiny. Cyclops is pompous.
People have been complaining about Cyclops for fifty years now, but there's something else Cyclops can absolutely be: a resolute leader and a total, unbridled badass. Sure, it's hard to see sometimes, what with all those other... qualities... being highlighted. Seeing his powers emerge in the trailer teases that power, though, and here's hoping after Mystique's "pep talk," we get to see the other half of Cyke in this movie.
prevnextGlimpsing the New Class

It's only for brief moments, but just seeing the new interpretations of Nightcrawler and Jubilee got pulses pounding. The kids look great, and getting to properly explore these characters from the ground up should be a treat.
Remember, Singer clearly has a love for the teleporting mutant, having directed probably the best moment of the entire original trilogy of X-Men movies, his assault on the White House. Can't wait to see what he has in store for us 13 years later, about 18 years in the past.
Oh, and new Jean looks great too, even if she's just Debbie Downer in this trailer.
prevnextArchangel Soars

Yes, I am most definitely a product of the 90s X-Men, but man oh man does Archangel look cool. It's actually the more recent Uncanny X-Force comic run that made him a deep, complex character (especially in his relationship with regards to Apocalypse), but the sheer visual of this man with metal angel wings, shooting daggers out of them is just cool.
Seeing it here in action? Well that's even cooler. Ignore the weird timeline stuff and just sit back and enjoy.
prevnextEvery Second With Storm In It

Yes, she's one of the "new class" too, but she gets her own entry because of the sheer gravitas Alexandra Shipp carries with every moment of screentime. Storm looks incredible, powerful, intimidating, and strong. She looks like a punk-rock goddess, and in the trailer at least, she's cut to look like she's going toe-to-toe with Magneto, and kicking some ass.
Are we finally getting the Storm we deserve? From these few moments, I'm ready to rally for a Storm solo flick for Shipp asap.
prevnextGiant Apocalypse!

Apocalypse's dialogue in the trailer is practically worth a countdown of its own, and when he stands screaming, or when he's apparently connected to Cerebro somehow, speaking to the thousands of mutants around the globe are all great moments.
But when Apocalypse grows into his massive form, crushing Xavier under his full, realized physical might, well, this X-Men fan got a chill. With all of Apocalypse's powers of manipulation, sometimes it just takes a giant, destructive punch to get your point across. It also happens to be an awesome visual, and a great punctuation mark on an intense trailer.
