During E3 2016, we gave you the gist of what was shown for Civilization VI, the next chapter in the storied franchise, being released in the 25th anniversary of the series. Now, you can watch the entire presentation yourself, albeit without live, interactive commentary, as 2K Games has released the video shown behind-closed-doors online.

The arguable highlight of the 12 minute long presentation is the first two minutes, which show Civilization throughout the years. 2K and Firaxis expertly show the evolution of society and the evolution of the game series in perfect parallels, and if you are a longtime fan, you'll be on one heck of a nostalgia trip.

The new features highlighted in the video include the exciting new "districts" function, where you can build areas of cities devoted to one particular task, like religious districts or encampments or Theater and Arts. It also shows off new trade and war options, which should keep fans who like a little more action in their turn-based strategy excited.

Check out the video above, narrated by Sean Bean (he doesn't even die in the video! huzzah!), and prepare to launch your own new Civilization on October 21, 2016.
