No wonder he got a ship named after him--in addition to being our 16th President, the signer of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Army during the Civil War, a new film from producer Tim Burton depicts Abraham Lincoln as a lifelong hunter of vampires. (What, if any, connection that has to his eventual assassination is unclear at this point.) Based on a novel by Seth Grahame-Smith of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies fame, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunger stars Benjamin Walker and Rufus Sewell and explores "the untold story" of Lincoln's secret war on the undead. Actors from the film, and the director, made an appearance earlier this week aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln to screen the film for the thousands of sailors serving onboard the supercarrier. Check out some photos and video of the event below; Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens in theaters on June 22. [gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="4"]
