David Tennant, best known as the Tenth Doctor from BBC's Doctor Who, was at Wizard World this past weekend and he chatted about dropping Marvel and being apart of their universe.

Tennant was a huge comic book fan growing up so to land the role of Zebediah Killgrave, aka The Purple Man, in Netflix's AKA Jessica Jones was a dream come true. "This is something I grew up with. It's like my eight year old self doesn't know what to do with himself," Tennant said at North Carolina's Wizard World (via withanaccent.com). "I think comic books are a glorious wonderful art form and I think Marvel is one of the things that we'll be looking back on in a hundred years' time they'll be one of the cornerstones of our cultural existence."

Last week, images of Tennant dropping Marvel's headquarters popped up online. "I got shown around and clever people gave me comic books and told me how they got made and met people that spent their day doing that stuff," Tennant explained. "It was so exciting."

He then goes on to praise the films Marvel Studios has been producing. He credits that to advances in technology and more importantly, Marvel's knack for storytelling. "It comes down to stories," he said. "It comes down to the heart and that's what makes the stories sing."

A.K.A. Jessica Jones will debut on Netflix in 2015 after Marvel's Daredevil.
