Amazing Spider-Man 2: Lights, Camera, Action Featurette

Sony Pictures has released another new featurette for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The "Lights, Camera, Action" featurette goes behind-the-scenes on the making of the new Spider-Man film. The featurette shows some new footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, including Aleksei Sytsevich (Paul Giamatti) driving a very large truck during a police chase involving several police vehicles and an armored car. "The trick is, there is no trick," says Andy Armstrong, stunt coordinator for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. "What you're seeing is a 50 mph, hundred-thousand pound truck driving over a police car as its going along." "I thought a lot more of it was going to be green screen," says Paul Giamatti. There's also a montage showing some special effects from the villains of the film, including Electro and the Rhino. We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes to theaters May 2, 2014.
