Pravda, the famed political newspaper of the Russian Communist Party, has been name-dropped in the latest tweet from the set of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, accompanying a photo of visual guides for "ring tattoos," which will presumably belong to Aleksei Sytsevich, better known as The Rhino. The villain is one of at least two costumed villains (along with Electro) and possibly more (with Chris Cooper just having been cast as Norman Osborn, the first Green Goblin) who is set to appear in the web-slinging sequel. He'll be played by Paul Giamatti of The Truman Show and The Goon fame. It seems likely that it won't just be his Russian lineage that's retained, either; if you look closely, one of those ring tattoos is the Soviet hammer and sickle, contained within a star. This would put the character pretty firmly into a Cold War motif.
