Ant-Man Gets An Official Release Date in 2015

The next few years will be busy ones for Marvel Studios, with sequels to Iron Man, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger all hitting theaters, along with Guardians of the Galaxy and a second Avengers film. Ant-Man has been the odd man out for a while, long in development with director Edgar Wright and always struggling to find a place in the schedule that works for Disney, Marvel and the filmmakers. All that ends today, though: Disney has just announced a November 6, 2015 release for Ant-Man, officially making the story of Hank Pym the first Marvel movie to come out after The Avengers 2. No one is set to star yet, although there is some test footage that was screened at Comic Con and that material is expected to be cleaned up for a wider release soon.
