Ant-Man Movie: Will Marvel Announce it at Comic-Con?

So, yesterday TV Line reported that Castle wouldn't make it to San Diego for Comic-Con, but star Nathan Fillion will--for an undisclosed (or at least uncertain) project. That got us to wondering: What are the odds the project in question could be Marvel's Ant-Man? There's no real comment as to why Castle missed Comic-Con, with a writer on the show suggesting that it simply wasn't a priority for the studio, but certainly the Disney-owned ABC stands to gain more from a big announcement regarding a major Marvel superhero film, especially following on the success of The Avengers, than from promoting a show that's pretty much settled into its niche nicely. Fillion, meanwhile, has flirted with the idea of Ant-Man before, and the fans squealed with delight. He has, in fact, long been on the wish list for casting in any number of superhero films, so to see him get it would be great. Additionally, rumors have been circulating for a while that the film has actually already been quietly greenlit at Marvel, and that it might shoot as early as this year (that last from planned director Edgar Wright). With two Marvel movies on the slate and yet to be announced, it's a safe bet that at least one will be announced at Comic-Con (or at least an official date for the already-announced Avengers 2). "Received this in the mail. What can it mean?" Tweeted the director back in early May, including a photo of what appears to be a sign or poster relating to Ant-Man (seen above). He said that just days after Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that the film was "closer than ever." How close? Maybe...a month? San Diego Comic-Con International takes place July 11-15. We'll see what they've got in store then.
