After not saying much at all about the Phase Three movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Comic-Con, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is suddenly spilling the beans. In the same interview with MTV where he confirmed a Doctor Strange movie as definite, Feige also gave up some details on the Ant-Man movie plot. Kevin Feige said, "It's very much an Ant-Man origin movie from the perspective of Edgar Wright and his co-writer Joe Cornish. It will of course be firmly planted in the MCU, but a different corner than we've seen before." While most expected Ant-Man to be an origin movie, there has been speculation over if Ant-Man might appear in Avengers 2. While it's still a possibility that Ant-Man could pop up in Avengers 2, the confirmation that the Ant-Man solo movie is an origin movie would seem to make it unlikely that Ant-Man will be a significant part of Avengers 2. Since the Ant-Man movie doesn't come out until after the Avengers 2, Marvel Studios would need to give the general public some explanation of who Ant-Man is if they included him on the team. It probably wouldn't make a lot of sense to spoil the origin story in Avengers 2. Many have also wondered why Ant-Man is getting a movie before some other more well-known characters in the Marvel Universe. Feige also made it very clear that if not for Edgar Wright's involvement Ant-Man wouldn't be getting made.  Feige explained, "…it's certainly set in the Marvel Universe, but it's also through the lens of Edgar Wright — which is the only reason we're making the movie." Ant-Man is set to be released in movie theaters on November 6, 2015.
