Archie Comics Offers 100 Free Comics On Its App

Archie Comics have just announced that fans who download the Archie app on iOS and Android can redeem 100 free comics.

Like with Marvel's "Free #1" plan years back, they're hand-picked, not "whatever 100 you want," and many of them are jumping-on point kind of issues, including the historica Archie #1 and more modern hits like Kevin Keller #1.

"What better way to dive into the wonderful world of Riverdale and visit with friends like Archie, Betty & Veronica, Jughead and more?" The publisher asked in its announcement, adding, "Digital comic readers will get a complete introductory course to all things Archie with a mere app download via iOS and Android platforms. What could be better?"

In addition to the limited-time 100 comics offer, the new apps feature a new, easier-to-navigate interface and optimized retina display for iOS7. The new Android app features a completely rebuilt structure, resulting in an easier to use and faster interface which also includes an integrated digital subscription service in Archie Unlimited for only $5.99 a month. You can also access the Android app via Google Play.
