Last night on Arrow, Oliver sped past a movie poster for Blue Devil, based on the DC Comics character of the same name. There is, sadly, no plan for Warner Bros. to make a Blue Devil movie in real life, but the folks in Arrow's production department did a great job with this image, which was barely visible as Oliver sped past a bus bearing the banner while on his motorcycle during a tense, action sequence in last night's episode. Series executive producer Marc Guggenheim just shared the image above on Twitter. In the comics, Daniel Patrick Cassidy is a special effects wizard and stuntman hired to create and play the title character in the movie Blue Devil. After an unexpected confrontation with a demon named Nebiros, Cassidy uses his costume to drive the demon back, but not before being blasted with mystical energy, which permanently alters his appearance so that he actually becomes the demon-like being he was playing in the film. Whether we'll actually see Cassidy, his film or Blue Devil eventually recur on either Arrow or its spinoff The Flash is anybody's guess--but that's certainly a nice poster, especially if it was made only for being blown past at 60 miles an hour.
