During today's media event in Los Angeles, Marvel Studios debuted a clip -- just over a minute in length -- that showed reporters an exclusive look at Avengers: Age of Ultron that won't air tonight during Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
In the clip, reeling from what seems like a pretty bad defeat at the hands of Ultron and his forces, Steve Rogers and Tony Stark are at each other's throats -- apparently setting up the pair for the kind of disagreements that will lead to Captain America: Civil War in 2016.
You can check it out below (while it lasts):
In the clip, the pair are chopping wood at a house in a rural setting. Tony enters, asking Steve whether Thor said where he was going "for answers."
"Sometimes, my teammates don't tell me things," Steve replies. He said he had hoped Thor would be the exception.
Tony says to give Thor time, that they don't know "what the Maximoff kid showed him." Steve replies that whatever she showed Tony, it was just enough to get him to do something stupid.
Apparently whatever traumatic thing Wanda showed the rest of the team, though, Steve wasn't fazed by it. Tony doesn't like that, saying that he doesn't trust someone with no dark side.
After Steve provokes Tony a bit more, Stark says that "Banner left to do some reseach," which Steve says would affect the team. Stark counters it would end the team -- that the mission is to "fight, so we can end the fight, so we can go home." Steve, frustrated, tears a piece of wood in two and says that "Everytime someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die."
