What-If-Age-of-Ultron

How excited is Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee about Avengers: Age of Ultron, next year's sequel to the 2012 movie based on arguably his and Jack Kirby's second-most famous collaboration (behind Fantastic Four)? Well, of course he's happy it's being made, but according to an interview in Playboy, he's not quite as familiar with the source material as you might think. "I don't have any idea who the hell Ultron is," Lee said. "He was a character developed after I stopped being involved in the Avengers story." Comic Book Resources notes that Ultron, created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, first appeared in 1968′s Avengers #54; Lee stopped writing that title with 1966′s #35 but remained an editor at Marvel for long after that.
