True fans of The Dark Knight will no longer have to wait until 2016 to see Batman on the big screen, as Batkid Begins has officially chosen June 26 as its theatrical release date.

Batkid Begins is Dana Nachman's documentary about Miles Scott, a young cancer survivor who, through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, was able to play Batman throughout San Francisco for one day. Scott's day as Batman became one of 2013's top cultural and social media sensations, as San Francisco's mayor, police department, and even President Barack Obama helped make the dream come true.

New Line Cinemas will distribute the film, which originally debuted at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. New Line is also working on a narrative rewrite of the documentary, which according to the Hollywood Reporter, has Julia Roberts tapped to produce and star in.

Batkid Begins lands in theaters on June 26, while Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives on March 25, 2016.
