The Writer's Guild  has announced the 2014 nominees for it's annual award ceremony honoring excellence in writing across television, film, radio and other media. Batman: Arkam Origins is among the year's nominees in the video game category, with specific credit going to narrative director Dooma Wendschuh, writer and senior narrative designer Ryan Galletta and writer Corey May. The game told the story of Batman's early years and how he forged the important relationships that would help define his character throughout his crimefighting career in Gotham City. Other nominees in the video game category are Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, God of War: Ascension, The Last of Us, and Lost Planet 3. The entire list of nominees can be found on the Writer's Guild Awards website. The ceremony will take place February 1, 2014 in Los Angeles.
