Batman: Arkham Origins

Anyone holding out hope that WB Games will eventually get around to fixing any of the game breaking bugs still present in Batman: Arkham Origins should probably stop holding their breath. An official community representative from WB Games posted a message on the Batman: Arkham Origins forum saying that the development team will be focusing all of their resources on the upcoming story DLC rather than on future patches for the game. If the company ever does get around to patching the game, after the DLC is released, they will only focus on progression halting bugs, leaving other, less severe bugs unfixed. Here's the message left on the forum:

Hi all, The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums. If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient.

Responses from players have ranged from disappointment to outrage. The game shipped with a number of technical issues, many of which have been fixed in post-release patches, but not all. The news follows a previous announcement that the story DLC the team is working on will not make it to the Wii U edition of the game.
