Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Star Ben Affleck Resurrects Project Greenlight

Miramax is resurrecting Project Greenlight, and both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will return as executive producers of the reality show that gives an aspiring filmmaker the opporunity to make and distribut their debut feature with Miramax.

Affleck and Damon announced the return of the series -- which will air on HBO -- in a banter-filled short video that called for directors to submit a three-minute short film to show their potential.

Spanning the entire process of creating a movie, Project Greenlight takes a revealing, uncensored look at the challenges facing a first-time director. The show begins with a digital competition, and will follow the winner from pre-production and casting through principal photography and post-production. Surrounded by a team of industry professionals, the fledging director must learn to cope with pressure from the studio and producers, surviving on-set politics and leading a veteran cast and crew, while trying to deliver a viable movie – on schedule and on budget.
