Batman v Superman Trailer In 1940's Style

Next March, we will finally get the first live-action Batman/Superman meet up with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's too bad, really as both Kirk Alyn (Superman) and Lewis Wilson (Batman) were the first live-action versions of DC's poster boys all the way back in the 40's.

Leave it to Paul Cornish of FamousFanboy to come up with yet another parody trailer, but this time with Alyn and Wilson in the place of Cavill and Affleck and it kind of works, especially the first shot of Wilson in the Bat Cave.

What do you readers think of this? Should there have been a Batman/Superman team up already before this? Would this have worked back then?
