Gal Gadot Wonder Woman

Ever since Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman, there has been some fan criticism that she is too skinny to play Wonder Woman. MTV asked Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane, what she thought of the fan feedback. While professing to not be familiar with Gadot's body shape, Adams took the defensive for her new co-star. Adams said, "I don't buy into that. Not that I [don't] believe that it's happening, but I'm certainly not a classically drawn woman as they exist in comic books, so I had to embrace that I just had a baby, I still hadn't gotten my waist back. Lois is not about proportions, Lois is about her intellect and her savvy reporting skills and her empathy for Clark, and so I just didn't think about it." In addition to pointing to her own body shape, Adams also pointed out that director Zack Snyder usually works to get his cast in shape. Adams said, "If she's working with Zack, and she's going to be Wonder Woman, she is going to be yoked, man. He is going to make her a beast." Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
