Batman movie website Batman News has revealed some new details about certain plot elements in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The report first confirms what many fans have suspected. The large Superman statue being filmed in front of a green screen is Metropolis's way of thanking Superman for saving the city in Man of Steel. The film will take place two years after Man of Steel, with the mayor unveiling the statue during a press conference. The scene will also include a group of children wearing "Superman Survivor" shirts in a show of thankfulness. The statue will be completed in post-production.

Secondly, the Batmobile's doors open out like wings. This detail could mean that the Batmobile is capable of flight, similar to the Batwing. Not guaranteed, but it might be necessary if Batman is to keep up with Superman and Wonder Woman in the film.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to theaters May 6, 2016.
