"Think of the one thing you've ever wanted and find it in your mind's eye," the Beast tells Belle in the new extended TV spot for Beauty and the Beast. For many Disney fans, that coveted possession would be the highly anticipated live-action film itself. Next year, Disney will debut Beauty and the Beast to a legion of loyal fans, and the company's most recent promo for the movie has fans feeling appropriately festive given that it's Christmas Day.

The recut trailer focuses on the complex relationship of Belle and the Beast. The two strangers are forced into one another's company after the spirited heroine trades in her freedom to spare her father's life. Stuck with the Beast, Belle learns about the man's cursed past and his bustling servants all whilst slowly falling for the former prince. But, when one of her local townsmen learns of her captivity, he will stop at nothing to bring Belle home and even kill the Beast.
Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. Directed by Oscar® winner Bill Condon from a screenplay by TBD based on the 1991 animated film, the film is produced by Mandeville Films' David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman with eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards® (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the 1991 animated film, providing the score, which will include new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as several new songs written by Menken and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice.
Beauty and the Beast will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.
