Beppo The Supermonkey & The Creeper

As Man Of Steel writer David S. Goyer makes the media rounds to support Man Of Steel, he continues to let out interesting tidbits about other potential characters that could have been included in Man Of Steel. Surprisingly, both The Creeper and Beppo the Supermonkey were brought up in discussions about scenes in the Man Of Steel. In an interview with Ain't It Cool News, Goyer revealed that when he met Russell Crowe for the first time he showed him a picture of Beppo the Supermonkey and explained that the character would be added to his next scene through CG. After giving a confused look, Crowe quickly figured out that Goyer was only joking. Goyer never had any real intention of including Beppo in Man Of Steel, but Beppo did play a role in helping to lighten the mood with the Australian actor. However, there was another unusual character that Goyer did seriously want to include in Man Of Steel. In an interview with Empire, Goyer revealed that the blogger Glen Woodburn, who Lois Lane leaks her Superman story to, originally had a different name. Goyer wanted the character to be Jack Ryder, who is also The Creeper in the comic books. However, DC Comics wouldn't allow Goyer to use the name, likely do to a rights issue.
