The pilot script for Booster Gold, written by Arrow writer and executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, will finally be turned in to Syfy in the coming days, Kreisberg told a fan via Twitter. Asked whether there might be a Booster Gold comic book series coming up from DC Comics, Kreisberg said he had no idea, but offered the pilot update as a consolation prize. "Not sure about the comic," he tweeted. "The script is going to SyFy next week!" Not much is known about the project, except that it stars Booster, Skeets, Trixie and Dirk Davis, suggesting that it takes many of its cues from the character's first ongoing, monthly series published in the 1980s. It also features his twin sister Michelle and Rip Hunter, the Time Master who's secretly Booster's son--and at least references Green Arrow and Ted Kord/Blue Beetle. The character has also been teased in an "Easter Egg" in the background of a Man of Steel trailer. Booster is currently appearing in All-Star Western by Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray and Moritat. He's widely expected to play a larger role in the New 52 after his three-issue story arc in that title is finished. You can check out our first interview with Gray here (the second will go live this week).
