Could DC Entertainment assemble a shared TV universe before their movie universe even has a chance to take shape? It certainly seems that way; in a new interview over at Green Arrow TV, showrunner Andrew Kreisberg hinted that the as-yet-untitled Booster Gold pilot for Syfy will reference Arrow. Ted Kord, whose name appeared in a recent episode of Arrow, is also referenced in the pilot script, Kreisberg admitted--although he suggested that it could be that the character could be played by two different actors in the two series, seemingly implying that the universes wouldn't be explicitly linked. "Aside from the major Superman and Batman characters, DC has been really good about letting us play with their roster," Kreisberg said. "We'd never say never to anybody. Kord Industries actually plays a part in my Booster Gold pilot, so, who knows. He might be on two different shows, played by two different actors." He added, "There's always a possibility [of a shared universe]. There's a line in the Booster Gold pilot where somebody says 'we finally have our own hero. Not like that nut in Starling City with the hood.' I don't know if they're going to let me keep that line over there, if they [Syfy] actually make the pilot, but it sort of makes me smile to think that it's the same universe." So...no guarantees, certainly. Still, "Starling City" isn't the name of the place Oliver Queen protects the populace in the comics; that's specific to Arrow. Arrow's season finale is Wednesday night at 9 p.m. on The CW.
