Captain America Movie Brings Bucky Onboard

Slowly but surely, and with somewhat vague confirmation from Marvel itself, the cast of the Captain America film is coming together! Word from The Hollywood Reporter is that Gossip Girl star Sebastian Stan is joining the film about the patriotic Avenger as Cap's right-hand teenage fighter Bucky! Slated for a July 22, 2011 release, The First Avenger: Captain America , has already lined up Chris Evans, known for his work on the Fantastic Four films, as Steve Rogers himself, and Hugo Weaving (V for Vendetta) is reported to be playing nemesis, The Red Skull. Stan has reportedly signed a contract with Marvel to play Bucky in at least five or six films, which would assume that he will be a part of the long-awaited Avengers movie, which has been part of the rolling out of films from Marvel such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. Stan will make other appearances in film before the camera rolls on this film. Beside his work on Gossip Girl, he will star in the upcoming The Apparition , a film focusing on supernatural terror later this year.
