Captain Marvel #1 Preview: Blast Off

Marvel Comics has released a preview of Captain Marvel #1, the new series featuring Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, written by Kelly Sue Deconnick with art by David Lopez. The new series will be a fresh start for Carol Danvers, with a new home, a new group of friends, and a new love interest, but that's just for beginners. Captain Marvel is taking her adventures into outer space to rediscover her destiny. "Everything about Carol wants to go UP. Chin up, head up, heart up, up, up, UP. And I thought, 'What if we let her go?'" says series writer Kelly Sue Deconnick on taking Carol into outer space. "In many ways, Captain Marvel's adventures have been building to this moment." adds Editor Sana Amanat.
