Community: Images Released From "G.I. Jeff" Animated Episode

NBC have released the first official images from NBC's upcoming April 2 episode of Community, titled "G.I. Jeff." The episode, animated in the style of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, sees the cast reimagined as the all-ages-friendly war heroes of America's elite fighting force. EW has debuted images of Jeff (Joel McHale) of Wingman, Annie (Alison Brie) as Tight Ship, Britta (Gillian Jacobs) as Buzzkill and Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) as Three Kids in the style of the 1980s animated series from the April 3 episode. "Like all Community episodes, it takes on a certain style," Executive Producer Chris McKenna said. "This one has a very specific story reason for it. I don't want to give too much away, but our characters find themselves on a Wizard of Oz-type journey through the world of G.I. Joe. … There's a mystery that Jeff in particular has to get to the bottom of." Community airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
