The latest episode of Community, which now airs on Yahoo! Screen, added a new installment in their wildly popular Paintball Assassin series. This one was extra special as it included an homage to elevator scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Why's that special? Well, That Marvel film was directed by the brothers Anthony and Joe Russo. Both of them directed numerous episodes of Community before becoming Marvel's go-to-directors. Joe in particular directed the popular two-part paintball episodes, "For A Few Paintballs More" and "A Fistful of Paintballs."

Community's version of the elevator scene involved Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) stepping into an empty elevator just like Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) did. Just before the door closes, a suspicious looking custodian enters abruptly. He is quickly joined by a whole slew of custodians. They surround the Dean, waiting to ambush him. Just before they can pounce the Dean puts up a superhero effort that would make Cap salute him.

The second clip is from the sixth episode, which aired a month ago. It featured a biting dig at the way Marvel Studios reportedly treated director/screenwriter Joss Whedon while he was putting Avengers: Age of Ultron together.
