While Christian Bale has said that he is done with playing Batman in the movies, another Dark Knight Rises star appears to be a little more open to the possibility. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been doing interviews for the last month to promote other movies, but all anyone wants to talk about is his role as John Blake in The Dark Knight Rises.
While Joseph Gordon-Levitt was promoting Looper at the Toronto International Film Festival, MTV didn’t quiz him on if there will be a Premium Rush 2, but instead took the opportunity to ask Joseph Gordon-Levitt if he would have any interest in the rumored Justice League movie. Even though Joseph Gordon-Levitt had earlier indicated he didn’t see a sequel in store for The Dark Knight Rises, he didn’t exactly rule out the possibility of playing Batman in a Justice League movie.
When asked about the Justice League movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt said, “It always depends. I always pick projects that I want to be involved in for the same reasons. Is the script really good? Is the filmmaker a really inspired artist that I feel a connection with? That's what I always pay attention to.”
MTV then pondered that Joseph Gordon-Levitt probably wouldn’t be interested in Justice League with any old director, but he would be interested if someone like David Fincher was going to direct. Oddly enough, David Fincher is one of the few directors that hasn’t been tied to the upcoming Justice League movie, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this MTV interview doesn’t get that rumor started.
