Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes: New Images Released

New images from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes have been released online (via USA Today). The images show Caesar, played by Andy Serkis, and his tribe of apes as well as Dreyfus, played by Gary Oldman, and his group of human survivors. In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - the sequel to the franchise rebooting Rise of the Planet of the Apes - a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species. "We've got apes on horses," director Matt Reeves told USA Today. "There is a sense in the beginning of the movie that apes have inherited the Earth. You see the species as it takes dominion over the planet. It's an ape-world. That's the fun of it." Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes to theaters Jul 11, 2014.
