Deadpool Trailer Super Bowl Preview

Deadpool is entering its stretch run. The film opens nationwide this Friday and 20th Century Fox is taking full-advantage of the enormous audience Super Bowl 50 offers by releasing a new trailer during it.

What new footage might we see today? Gosh, I honestly don't know. The marketing of this film has been refreshingly unpredictable and has perfectly captured the zaniness of Marvel's bad boy. My only prediction: Expect the unexpected.

Aside from that, Deadpool is making a presence at the sporting event in other ways. On Friday, Ryan Reynolds drove a food truck around the Super Bowl campus, dishing out the superhero's favorite treat... Chimichangas! And today, there's an official press junket being held at a sports bar across from Levi's Stadium (where the Super Bowl is taking place) and it will have stars of the film and pro athletes on hand.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool hits theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
