The apple has fallen far from the Smith family tree.
While Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, are both known for their recent acting work as DC Universe's villains, their son is making his name by portraying one of its biggest heroes. Jaden Smith recently went to prom dressed as Batman himself. But Jaden didn't embody your typical Dark Knight. Instead, he brandished a stark-white Batman suit for the most magical (k)night of his high school career.
Of course, there's a whole batcave's worth of irony here. Will Smith is currently filming Suicice Squad as the major DC Comics villain Deadshot, a character that has tussled with The Caped Crusader on multiple occasions. Pinkett-Smith, meanwhile, recently wrapped up a run as one of Gotham City's fiercest pre-Batman crime lords, Fish Mooney, in Fox's Gotham prequel series. But despite his parents' influences, Jaden seems intent on walking the path of a hero. We wonder what the punishment for such a violation of family values is—no bat-computer for the week?
