'Dollhouse' Gets Good News From Fox...For Now!

Fans of the Eliza Dushku-starring sci-fi series Dollhouse got a couple of pieces of good news yesterday when it was revealed that the series' second season premiere gained 50% in its ratings share when DVR ratings were factored in, tying it with Smallville for biggest percentage gain in ratings! The move is the silver lining perhaps to a cloud that consisted of a 1.0 ratings share for the show, which went up to 1.5 with the news of the ratings bump, according to thrfeed.com. In other news, Fox has announced that it will air all 13 episodes for this season, a sigh of relief for fans, certainly. Fox's Preston Beckman released the news and acknowledged the show's ratings troubles by saying, "We're not saying we're happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don't have to overreact. During [November] sweeps we might have to jack up the numbers a little [with other programming], but we plan on completing the order for this show." Will there be a third season of the series? That remains to be seen. Beckman told thrfeed that DVR was certainly a factor in the reason for their endorsement of the series this fall, and it sounds like Joss Whedon is bracing for any possiblity, saying that he is writing a finale just in case. If you're a fan of the series, be sure to support it!!
