Drew Struzan, the man behind every iconic Star Wars poster, has reportedly agreed to helm Star Wars: The Force Awakens' official poster.
Struzan, while officially in retirement, has reportedly been in contact in The Force Awakens' director J.J. Abrams about taking one final journey into the galaxy far, far, away. According to reports, Abrams himself contacted Struzan about painting another Star Wars poster, and Struzan agreed. But until any official announcements or image reveals are made, it's best to still treat this news as rumor.
Struzan is known in the for his painted movie posters, an increasing rarity in the digital age where most posters are made on computer editing software. Beyond painting the posters for all six Star Wars films, plus the original trilogy's special editions, Struzan created the posters for The Indiana Jones franchise, Back To The Future, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and countless more.
