Family Guy Bring Back Brian Petition Beats Remove Ben Affleck As Batman Petition

It's official. The monkey is now off Ben Affleck's back. More fans are upset over Family Guy killing off Brian Griffin than they are over Ben Affleck being cast as Batman. Before Seth MacFarlane and Fox decided to do in the beloved Griffin family dog, the biggest uproar in the comic book/cartoon community had been the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman. A petition to have Ben Affleck removed as Batman garnered national media attention a couple months back and attracted tens of thousands of signatures. However, the petition failed to reach 100,000 signatures and lost momentum right around 95,000 signatures. Now, Family Guy fans have accomplished what those against Ben Affleck as Batman couldn't. A petition demanding that Seth MacFarlane and Fox bring back Brian Griffin to the Family Guy has now collected over 100,000 signatures, putting it well ahead of the petition to ban Ben Affleck as Batman. We're not sure if there is any official record-keeping on this statistic, but based of our scientific study of petitions that we can remember over the last year or so, the petition to bring back Brian Griffin to the Family Guy has garnered more signatures of outrage than any other petition involving a cartoon or comic book character in history.
