Not wanting to take any chances of the rights reverting to Marvel Studios, Fox appears to be rapidly moving forward with their Fantastic Four reboot. And if casting rumors are to be believed, this new Fantastic Four team will be unlike any fans have seen in the past. According to Variety, Michael B. Jordan is the only name in the running to play Johnny Storm, which means he will likely be the first black Human Torch. News of Jordan's potential casting has been hotly debated online. Most acknowledge that Jordan is a great actor and a rising star, but some fans are not happy anytime a character is changed from the comic books. But it's not only the Human Torch that is in for a major change from the traditional comic book version, as Fox appears to also be looking for a young Mr. Fantastic. Actors in the running for Mr. Fantastic include Kit Harington, Jack O'Connell and Miles Teller. All three actors are in their early to mid-twenties. When rumors previously surfaced that Miles Teller was in the running for the Mr. Fantastic role, director Josh Trank himself denied that the rumor was true. In regards to Invisible Girl, Fox is looking at trio of actresses. Saoirse Ronan, Kate Mara and Margot Robbie are all reportedly up for the role of Sue Storm. Kate Mara is 30 years old, so if she lands the role, then Invisible Girl could be older than Mr. Fantastic. No word yet on who is up for the role of The Thing. The Fantastic Four reboot is being directed by Josh Trank with Gregory Goodman and Matthew Vaughn producing. The film is being targeted for an early 2015 release date.
