While Fear the Walking Dead didn't see The Walking Dead's consistently record-setting ratings after what was a record-setting debut, it did find its own viewership and stay strong throughout the short 6 episode first season. The season finale saw a 3.37 rating and 6.86 million viewers, which was actually up in total viewers (6.6 million) and almost dead even in rating (3.4) from the penultimate episode last week.

The show has also been adding about 50% in ratings during the Live+3, which take time-shifted viewing via on demand and DVR into account.

The debut of Fear the Walking Dead in August set a record for a new series pilot on cable with 10.1 million viewers and a 4.9 rating, time-shifted up to 13.3 million viewers. But big brother The Walking Dead has the ultimate record with its season 5 premiere last year at a staggering 17.3 million viewers and an 8.7 rating.

This coming Sunday sees the season 6 premiere of the primary show, with an hour and a half long episode to kick off the new year of zombie action.
