Jamie and Tyrion Lannister

Last Sunday, HBO aired Game of Thrones Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing, a 15-minute special preview of Game of Thrones' fourth season. A few important plot points and events were revealed during the special, so we've decided to outline the highlights here in anticipation of tonight's new Game of Thrones trailer. Jaime Lannister Returns to the King's Guard - After spending time as a prisoner of war and a harrowing journey following his release, Jaimie Lannister finally found his way back to King's Landing. However, along the way he lost his famous sword hand. So, where does that leave Jamie? Well, it looks like he returns to duty, regardless of his injury. Ice and Fire shows the Kingslayer wearing the white cloak and gold scale of the King's Guard, suggesting that Jaime takes on his duty as Lord Commander. So how will he feel about the state of the guard under Joffrey's rule? And how will the guard feel about a Lord Commander without a sword hand?

Game of Thrones Season 4 Oberyn MartellOberyn Martell Is Out For Vengeance -

made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that the Oberyn Martell does not like the Lannister's. The Red Viper is out for vengeance. Why? His sister, Elia Martell, was raped and murdered by Gregor Clegane, a Lannister man, during Robert's Rebellion. The Viper has surely not forgotten. Is that The Mountain he's dueling in the trailer?

Game of Thrones - The Royal WeddingJoffrey and Maergery Tyrell Will Be Wed -

This has been a long time coming, but nothing is ever for certain in Game of Thrones. Joffrey Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell have been betrothed since shortly after the Martell family rescued the Lannisters at the Battle of the Blackwater, but now we see for certain that the wedding will take place during Season 4. Of course, who knows what to expect at a Westeros wedding after last season.

Game of Thrones - Daenerys' Throne RoomDaenerys Will Rule -

During Ice and Fire, we get a good look at Daenerys' new throne room. Of course, this implies that she we be setting up shop in one of the Eastern city-states and doing some actual ruling. We've seen Daenerys do plenty of conquering so far, but how will she fare at actual governance?

Game of Thrones - That's a big dragonThe Dragons Are Outgrowing Their Mother -

Daenerys' pets have grown. A lot. Jorah Mormont has tried to warn her about the dangers of dragons, but she has so far not heeded his warnings. As Emilia Clarke mentions, they'll grow out of control and come to represent her own loss of control, but who else will pay the price when her pets finally let loose? Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres on HBO on April 6, 2014.
