With Disney planning to release a new Star Wars film every year, there are lots of people that would like to throw their hat into the ring for a future directing job. One person that Disney should give a serious look at is Georgia Bulldogs player Chris Conley.
Over the 4th of July weekend, Conley released a twenty-six minute fan film called "Rebribution." Conley is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound wide receiver, who is entering his senior year with the Bulldogs. The project started last year when Conley took to Twitter to recruit Star Wars fans for a light saber duel, which he planned to film. Conley got such overwhelming positive response that the project morphed into a short film.
Conley both wrote and directed "Retribution," and Infinite Productions and Spirit World Productions helped in the production process. Conley as well as a number of other Georgia players and students star in the film. There is even an appearance by the Georgia Bulldogs mascot.
