Donal Logue Gotham

Earlier this week, Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly officially announced the long rumored Gotham TV series.  With the pilot episode given the go ahead to start shooting, it should come as no surprise that the first casting report has hit the Internet. According to Latino Review, the lead part of Commissioner James Gordon has been offered to Donal Logue. By using the word offered, we're guessing that means there is always the possibility that he won't accept the role. But really, who would turn down the lead role in what will likely be a big hit series? The Gotham pilot episode is being written and executive produced by Bruno Heller, showrunner on The Mentalist.  The series will focus on the early days of Detective James Gordon and include a young Bruce Wayne, as well as some classic Batman villains. Comic book movie fans will likely recall Logue as the guy who played Quinn in Blade and Mack in Ghost Rider. Logue has also appeared on a number of TV shows such as ER, Grounded for Life, Copper, and Sons of Anarchy. Update: Donal Logue has denied this rumor on Twitter.
