Gotham: The Penguin First Look

The first official image of Robin Lord Taylor as The Penguin has been released online. Taylor will play the Penguin in Fox's upcoming Batman prequel television series, "Gotham." The Penguin, a.k.a. Oswald Cobblepot, will be a henchman of crime lord Fish Mooney, played by Jada Pinkett-Smith. Could we see him embark on a slow rise to power, as a young Bruce Wayne grows older as well? The Penguin was played, on the big screen, by Danny DeVito in "Batman Returns" and, previoulsy, on the small screen by Burgess Meredith in the classic "Batman" television series. Fox won an intense network bidding war for the right to air "Gotham," and the show has already received a full series order.
