It's already been widely noted that both Gotham and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice appear to be drawing some influence (especially as it pertains to the depiction of Alfred Pennyworth) from Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's graphic novel Batman: Earth One.

Now, it seems the show is pushing back the other way, hiring Frank to draw a portrait of Robin Lord Taylor, who will play Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot in the series.

Taylor, who played Sam on Season Four of AMC's hit comic book adaptation The Walking Dead, will play a young Cobblepot, working for crime boss Fish Mooney. Of course, as many have noted since the casting was announced, you know what Penguins to do fish...!

Gotham debuts September 22 on Fox.
