Guardians Of The Galaxy's James Gunn Answers Vin Diesel's Plant A Tree For Groot Challenge

After Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn challenged Vin Diesel to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Vin Diesel accepted the challenge, but he also raised Gunn by challenging him to plant a tree for Groot.

Gunn immediately accepted the challenge, but he's been busy for the last several days traveling around the world to promote Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, Gunn is back home, and he's answered Vin Diesel's challenge.

"I accepted Vin Diesel's challenge to plant a tree for Groot. This is the tree I planted," said Gunn. "It's a Magnolia. It doesn't need much water, so it's very sustainable here in California."

Gunn then challenged all Guardians of the Galaxy fans to plant a tree for Groot, take a photo of it, post it on Twitter or Instagram with hashtag #plantatreeforgroot and his name @jamesgunn. If fifty people respond to the challenge, Gunn promises to donate $5,000 to the Rainforest Trust, who protect Rainforest all over the world.
