Yesterday, with an outdoor shoot scrubbed by bad weather and a day spent at the SAS Institute in Cary, NC, the Iron Man 3 shoot had an old friend reappear: Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts in the films, returned to work with Robert Downey, Jr. and company, according to her Twitter account.
The actress tweeted a photo of herself on the set, with the caption, "Day 1 on Iron Man 3. Pepper Potts! So happy to be here."
Paltrow, one of the only supporting character from the solo superhero movies deemed important enough to come back for The Avengers, will likely be on hand for most of the shoot, although her actual screen time is likely to be somewhat less than it has been in the past given the sheer size of the cast this time around.
Iron Man 3 will be in theaters on May 3.
