Happy Birthday! Ewan McGregor Turns 45 Today

Happy birthday, Ewan McGregor! The actor is celebrating his 45th birthday today.

A leading actor with dozens of films on his resume, McGregor is best known amongst science fiction fans as a young Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars: Episodes I, II, and III. In George Lucas' prequel trilogy, McGregor's Kenobi discovered, trained, and ultimately fought the man who would become Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker.

As the rumors go, McGregor is in talks to reprise his role as Obi Wan for another Star Wars film but that may just be wishful thinking. He did, however, deliver a line of dialogue in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, though never actually seen on screen.

McGregor has also starred in the Michael Bay thriller, The Island, Jack The Giant Slayer, and Tim Burton's Big Fish.

Born in Scotland, McGregor turns 45 today.
