Happy Birthday! Hugh Jackman Turns 47 Today

Happy birthday, Hugh Jackman! The Australian actor his celebrating his 47th birthday today.

Jackman is, of course, best known around here for his role as Logan/Wolverine in the X-Men film franchise for 15 years, now. However, Jackman's acting career spans far beyond Wolverine. Jackman has been featured in several acclaimed and award films. Some of his other notable roles include The Prestige, Prisoners, Les Miserables, Pan, Van Helsing, and Australia.

Before becoming a famous actor, Jackman studied at the Pymble Public School while growing up in Australia. He turned to an acting role on the soap opera, Neighbours, so he could attend the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Looks like things worked out! He went on to host 81st Academy Awards ceremony in 2009.
