Happy birthday! Kevin Sorbo turns 58 today.

Born in September 1958, the actor ws raised by parents Ardis and Lynn. Kevin got his start in Hollywood during college as he worked as a model to help cover his annual tuition.

Sorbo then turned to acting in 1968 when he made several guest appearances in series like Murder She Wrote and The Commish. He lost out on the roles of Superman (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) and Agent Mulder (The X-Files). But it didn't take long after those losses for Sorbo to get his big break.

That role came in the form of Hercules as the actor starred in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. The series ran from 1995-1999 and released more than 100 episodes. During the series, Sorbo also cameoed in series like Xena: The Warrior Princess.

Since then, Sorbo has starred in several small television and film series. The actor most notably appeared in God's Not Dead back in 2014.
