Happy Birthday! Oscar Isaac Turns 37 Today

Happy birthday, Oscar Isaac! The actor is celebrating his 37th birthday today.

Isaac has played parts in a number of films, including Drive and Inside Llewyn Davis, but recently blew up with roles in the acclaimed films Ex Machina and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015.

In Ex Machina, Isaac played an isolated scientist bent on testing out his new invention: artificial intelligence. Later in the same year, he played, "The best damn pilot in the galaxy," Poe Dameron in the Star Wars re-launching for Episode VII. As if two epic sci-fi movies weren't enough to cement his place is the fandom Hall of Fame, he will be playing the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse later this year.

Prior to his acting fame, Isaac established himself as a guitar player and singer. He performed a number of songs in both 10 Years and Inside Llewyn Davis.

Oscar Isaac was born on March 9, 1979, in Guatemala.
